| Brief Introduction |
Shandong
Vocational College of Science & Technology,
is a full-time college of higher learning, which
is state-owned, administered by Shandong Province.
It was founded in 1978 and developed into a vocational
college in August, 2001. On April 24th, 2006,
the college was renamed the present one by People’s
Government of Shandong Province.

We have stored up rich practical experience and
profound cultural foundation in the course of
running the school for thirty years. The college
has gradually grown up into a comprehensive higher
vocational college majoring mainly in science

are 30 foreign teachers and more than 400 full-time
teachers among whom 33.9% are professors and associate
professors, and 120 teachers with practical experience.
The educational levels of the teachers are graduate
and above. There are altogether 38 majors in Textile
School, Foreign Languages School, Electromechanical
Engineering School, Information & Network
Department, Fashion & Art Department, Management
Department, Civil Engineering Department, Chemical
Engineering & Environmental Science Department,
and as well as the College-preparatory Vocational
School and the Secondary Technical School. There
are also three sub-colleges, School of International
Exchange & Cooperation, School of Further
Education and Training School. The student population
is 9,700. |

an area of 1000 mou (66.7 hectares), whose total
layout area is 2000 mou (133.3 hectares). The
total floorage of school buildings at present
is 220700 square meters. The college has a library
with a stock of 235 thousand volumes.There are
science laboratories, specialty classrooms, multi-media
classrooms and language laboratories, etc., matching
with the teaching of various specialties. There
are on the campus practical training bases for
textile, clothing, knitting, mechanism, chemical
fiber, automation research, etc. The total value
of the teaching facilities is 38 million yuan
(USD4.75 million). |
